2nd Summer School on Generative AI in Software Engineering
GAISE26 is summer school focused on Generative AI and modern software engineering on 1.-3.6.2026 located in Tampere, Finland.
Hosted by GPT-Lab, Tampere University, GAISE26 gathers industry partners, leaders, researchers and students together! This year, GAISE26 offers 3 distict tracks:
Academic — designed for PhD students, researchers, and advanced master’s students interested in cutting-edge AI research, methods, and scientific collaboration.
Industry — for developers, engineers, startup builders, and professionals applying AI in products, services, and real-world systems.
Executive — for leaders, policymakers, and decision-makers who need to understand AI strategy, governance, and organizational transformation.
GAISE26 Summer School is designed for participants who want to go beyond AI theory and surface-level tooling— to understand how high-quality, research-driven software is actually built.
GAISE2026 is intended for:
– Advanced students in Computer Science and Software Engineering
– Early-career engineers interested in GenAI and research-driven development

Important Information
The early bird registration is valid until 15 May 2026 23:59.
All the fees are quoted in Euros (EUR) and are VAT 0 % (VAT will not be added).
Full registration includes access to keynote speeches, academic and industrial sessions, workshops, hands-on labs, coffee breaks, lunches and social event on day 2. Please check the schedule for more details.
Executive Track participation includes access to keynote speeches, workshops, coffee breaks, lunches and social event.
Single-day passes for Academic and Industry tracks include access to all sessions and activities scheduled on the respective day.
- Registration is mandatory for all participants, regardless of the fee category.
Registration ensures your access to the event and allows us to record important information such as dietary restrictions and special requirements.
Payment
The participation fee(s) are paid when registering for the event. The payment is made with a credit card (no additional charges). A payment receipt will be sent to you by email. Participants living in Finland and having Finnish banking options can also choose online banking as their payment method. If invoicing (bank transfer) is needed, please contact congress@tuni.fi.
Cancellation policy
According to sustainability principles and to avoid food waste, please cancel your registration if you cannot attend the conference or the social events. For cancellations received by 31 May 2025, the paid participation fees will be fully refunded. No refund will be made for cancellations made after this date. No refunds will be made for no-shows. Participation that has already been registered can be transferred to another person from the same organisation without any extra charge. Cancellations and requests for refunds and registration transfers must always be made by email to congress@tuni.fi.
