
GPT-Lab (Tampere University) is participating as one of the key partners in the Managed AI-powered Software Innovations (MAISA) project, which began with a two-day kick-off meeting in Tampere on August 18–19, 2025.
MAISA is a two-year collaboration that brings together universities, companies, and networks to explore new ways of creating and managing AI-powered software. The project focuses on three main objectives:
Improving efficiency in software development by introducing AI into critical processes.
Strengthening trust in AI systems by advancing assurance, validation, and reliability practices.
Developing tailored AI solutions by leveraging the expertise and domain knowledge of the partners.
During the kick-off, all partners outlined their competencies, requirements, and potential contributions. The discussions are aimed at defining roles, work packages, and concrete areas for collaboration moving forward.
