BioAI Project Kick-Off Meeting in Pori

GPT-Lab (Tampere University) and Pyhäjärvi-instituutti officially launched the BioAI project at a kick-off meeting hosted by Satakuntaliitto in Pori.

BioAI harnesses AI-driven forecasting and decision-support tools to boost Satakunta’s bioeconomy, from food systems to water environments. By introducing new technologies, the project strengthens regional agility and supports innovation, helping businesses prepare for sustainable growth and competitiveness in the future.

The kick-off meeting focused on the project’s goals, early work plan, and key guidelines related to the European Regional Development Fund (EAKR) funding, ensuring a smooth and impactful implementation throughout the project.

On Tampere University side, the project is led by Vice Head of GPT-Lab, Mika Saari. Reija Hietala will be the project manager on Pyhäjärvi-instituutti side. GPT-Lab team is looking forward to the next steps of BioAI collaboration.

BioAI is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) via Regional Council of Satakunta. The project is co-carried by Pyhäjärvi Institute and GPT-Lab.
