Kai-Kristian Kemell
Head of GPT-Lab & Postdoctoral Research Fellow
I am the Head of GPT-Lab Tampere, managing its research activities and day-to-day operations. More generally, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tampere University, Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences. I received my DSc in Information Systems from the University of Jyväskylä in 2022 and have since worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki for over two years before becoming the Head of the TAU GPT-Lab in 2024.
My overarching research interest is improving Software Engineering (SE) processes and practices. My current research focus in this regard is on how to successfully utilize Generative AI in various ways in SE. Additionally, I have a strong research background in the practical implementation of AI ethics, as well as software startups.
